Penang Digital Library 2 is the first stand-alone, built for purpose of library without books initiated by the Penang State Government in 2017. Completed within 10 months of construction duration, Phase 2 of Penang Digital Library opened to public on 29 Jan 2019. The public building was roaring success, well-received by our local communities of young and old. The outstanding architecture was highly acclaimed and won PAM Awards 2019 Gold for the category of Alteration and Addition Category. BETA is humbled to be recognised and became the youngest practice to win a Gold award within its 4 years of practice.
